As we learned in the previous section, Yoga is far more than just exercise, but it does result in physical and mental fitness. In Ayurveda, the Indian Science of Life, Yoga is considered a very important part of lifestyle. The unique characteristic of Yoga is the way it unites the body and mind resulting in physical, mental and emotional well being.
Ayurveda also recommends Vyayama, which is a more dynamic practice and can be compared to Aerobic exercises. In contrast, Yogasanas are mostly static.
